  • Moment

    $800.00
2024 11” W x 14” H Oil painting on Canvas Panel. The story: one, two, three events like pebbles from the beach dropping into the surf, change the energy of the water and results in the ripples. That change the energy of the water as the ripples move out to the ocean. For a moment the energy changes space, time....as a metaphor for life....an event can change the life of one, changes the course of history for them but also for others in their sphere of influence, because that person changes history ...as the pebble in the pond ripples out, change is inevitable, for that moment, for an entire pond.

2023 16” W x 20” H x 5/8” D Oil painting on stretched Canvas. Finished white edges. Signed Front & Back. "Water is life, clean water is health" - Audrey Hepburn   Painting depicts how much water is life. Without it, we have chaos in species, in communities. Scattered feathers in the First Nation's motifs (abstraction in use of colour) represent that chaos, scattering us all to seek it.  Depicted through two empty water glasses and drops of the precious resource. Representing the lack of clean drinking water in some of our communities. Not only do plants follow the water, but wildlife and bird life do as well.  We seek it even into outer space.  Copywrite, TM. Please respect. Thank you for your visit. .

These gourds are the fruit of the Strychnos Spinosa Tree also referred to as Spiny-Monkey Orange or Green Monkey Orange and it's a favored meal among monkeys and other animals. The monkeys spread the seeds as they roam about in the South African landscape. Harvesting the trees of their gourds/fruit and turning them into hand-painted products to sell to tourists or otherwise as art pieces, employs the villagers and prevents the trees from being cut for firewood.  Copywrite, TM. Seventeen wild horses were shot and killed in B.C.’s Interior in 2023.  The RCMP are investigating.  The horses appeared to be from a herd of feral (wild) horses.  We don’t all understand the motive for this sad event. The police acknowledged that the horses were of cultural significance to the local Skeetchestn Band.  This is the story behind the painting.
