Oil painting on Canvas Panel.
Signed on front & back.

South African cultural oil painting of a fruit that Monkeys in South Africa will eat. These gourds are the fruit of the Strychnos Spinosa Tree also referred to as Spiny-Monkey Orange or Green Monkey Orange and it’s a favored meal among monkeys and other animals. The monkeys spread the seeds as they roam about in the South African landscape. Harvesting the trees of their gourds/fruit and turning them into hand-painted products to sell to tourists or otherwise as art pieces, employs the villagers and prevents the trees from being cut for firewood.  Copywrite, TM. Please respect. Thank you for your visit.
